Ascent ot Mount Sciliar

Starting from Compatsch, the beautiful trail number 10 is following the soft meadows of Alpe di Siusi, in direction south.

After one hour we are passing the Saltner Schwaige at 1731 m.
Here is the beginning of the Nature Park of Schlern/Rosengarten. Crossing the wooden bridge over the Frötsch River, the path start to go steaper.

This is the reign of the eagle, the marmot and the rams.

The Schlern trail was rebuild 1997 and is now one of the most beautiful trails in the area.

At top of Mount Schlern, you'll find the Refuge Schlernhaus with its fine cuisine and spectacular view on the Rosengarten / Catinaccio.

Mount Pez is the highest point and you can get there in 15 minutes from the Schlernhaus. Don't miss the amazing view all over Alpe di Siusi, the Sassopiatto, Mount Latemar and half South Tyrol.

To return back to Seis you can use the way number one to the Lake Völser Weiher or continue to Tierser Alpe and the Rosszähne.
