Snowshoe-walking & skitours
Tip-toeing across snowy South Tyrol
Many of us love to walk in the warm months of the year, but don’t let the cold put you off Winter walking. There are lots of possibilities open for taking the goat by its skin and getting up and out there in the winter months.
Our Tip:
along the sides of the ski slopes with snow shoes, off-piste skis or simply hiking boots.
The most simple and nicest way to go is probably on
snow shoes. Some advantages of this type of walking are that you need no particular training and can reach high up places even in Winter, crossing steep, un-walked upon fields of snow up right up to the mountain peaks.
Leave the ski-lifts alone and get a march on, up though unspoilt, soft and powdery snow, leaving only the trail of your skis behind you:
Off-piste skiing is a wonderful way to experience nature in winter. Climbing up in complete silence, the joy of reaching the peak and the views they offer, and the thrill of whizzing back down through fresh and untouched snow make this a fascinating sport.
