This year the original South Tyrolean Christmas markets and the South Tyrolean honey producers will assist needy children. For every 250 mg glass jar of honey sold, € 0.50 will be donated to the SOS Children's Village in Italy, which helps optimise everyday life and living conditions for children in emergency situations.

Win with the Christmas Market's South Tyrol App
For the second time, the five large South Tyrolean Christmas markets are making available a Christmas App, including competition, for smartphones. Users of the Christmas Market App will receive a question about the Christmas season in South Tyrol every day from November 25th until December 24th, 2011. For each correct answer, a new decoration will adorn your virtual Christmas tree. Eventually, a golden Christmas star will appear at the top of your tree. Anyone who answers all 30 questions correctly will receive a digital form that allows him or her to participate in the final prize drawing: five gift baskets filled with high quality local South Tyrolean products will be raffled off.
The app is available for smartphones from Apple, Samsung, HTC, and other service providers that use the Android operating system.
