Yes, two decades are good grounds for celebration!
It was back in 2006 when a handful of highly motivated hoteliers came together with great ambitions, common goals and shared values: values that bound them closely together at that time – and still do today.
Twenty years later, and that handful has now grown to some 30 hotels. You can still feel that the same spirit of optimism that existed on day one is there today. This is especially true when it comes to issues of sustainability, nature and a passion for the mountains.
And this is what we want to celebrate. So join us in looking forward to an exciting year with very special highlights, in the hotels themselves and with a giant surprise just for you, our Vitalpina guests!

2007
Formal launch after months of intensive thinking and planning: the motivated group counts 17 members at that time.
2008
First cooperative ventures with local partners, focusing on active pursuits and their exact opposite, namely relaxation.
2011
Debut of the first Vitalpina® Escapist programme booklet, “Breathe deeply”.
2011
Creation of the two Vitalpina® signature fragrances in partnership with Vitalis Dr. Joseph.
2013
Overall focus on the four Vitalpina® herbs: nettle, thyme, alpine lady’s mantle and yarrow.
2016
Joint commitment to meet the strict criteria of the EU Ecolabel for environmentally friendly holidays.
2017
Focus workshop on forest bathing with an acknowledged expert, followed by skills training.
2018
Expansion of the Escapist booklet “Breathe deeply” and debut of the second programme focusing on “Forest bathing”.
2019
Comprehensive profiling process of the group to define focal points, future direction and common goals.
2020
Relaunch of the Vitalpina logo, new branding and website; first edition of the Vitalpina magazine.
2021
Joint accession to the “turn to zero” climate neutrality alliance as the first-ever hotel cooperative venture.
2022
Study trip to Copenhagen with a focus on seasonal, plant-based culinary concepts.
2022/23
Development and launch of new selfness programme “Feel the mountains”.
2023/24
Design and market launch of our own Vitalpina product line “mmmh”, with organic fruit bars, syrup and an organic bread baking mix.
2025/26
Development of a joint Vitalpina signature spa treatment.
