Transhumance – When the sheep return to the valley

• Return of the shepherds and sheep to Vernagt on Saturday, 12 September – join Patrizia to experience the arrival of the herds in the Tisental valley up close and accompany the sheep on their way back down to the valley (date subject to change)
• Return of the shepherds and sheep to Kurzras on Sunday, 13 September – you can experience the spectacle of the return up close and feel the connection between nature, animals and tradition (date subject to change)

• Autumnal themed hike ‘Schnalser Schaf’ (Schnals sheep) – Patrizia accompanies you through the autumnal nature of the valley and tells you interesting facts about the historical and contemporary significance of sheep farming

Sustainable travel: All guests who travel to TONZHAUS by public transport receive a 15% discount on their stay. Please note: The discount can only be granted if we receive your train or bus ticket in advance. We will be happy to send you the South Tyrol Guest Pass in advance. This allows you to travel free of charge from the provincial borders (Brenner, Reschen) and Trento on the day of arrival – and enjoy free travel on all public transport throughout South Tyrol during your entire stay.
 

On request, we will also be happy to pick you up at the train station in Naturno. Our hotel bus will take you directly to the TONZHAUS. For organisational reasons, we ask you to let us know your arrival time in advance. Please note that we cannot grant you the 15% discount if you use this pick-up service.
