How we approach sustainability
We already optimise our electricity consumption and use treated rainwater for WCs. But there are other items on our sustainability to-do list, such as solar tiles on the roof.
All guests arriving by train can borrow our electric car free of charge for one day.
We were delighted to see that 80% of our guests leave their cars in the car park for the duration of their stay and use public transport or our own hiking bus instead.

We make our own syrups and store them in reusable glass bottles. We even make our own crisps from potatoes that we grow ourselves.
Every guest is given a picnic box on our guided hikes - so we are truly waste-free when out and about.

We are lucky enough to be able to buy plenty from local farmers: cheese comes from the nearby mountain pastures, milk from a farm just 50 metres away, eggs are laid two or five km from us and there are six farmers between Ulten and Lana who grow fruit and vegetables for us.

of our staff live in the valley, close to their workplace, and can therefore either walk or cycle to work, or use the efficient public transport network.
