The Val Casies is a truly picturesque hiking destination, especially in autumn when the larch trees are ablaze with color. The hike to the various Alpine pastures not only offers impressive views of the Dolomites, but also the opportunity to enjoy the fresh mountain air and pleasant temperatures.
Hike: The route starts at the head of the valley, following trail marker 47, and initially heads east along a narrow access road to houses before changing to a wide forest path.
The hike is laid out in wide bends and only climbs moderately, making this hike a leisurely experience. From the Stumpfalm, which is a lovely resting place, the route continues along the Almweg 2000 to the Kaser Alm and Uwald Alm.
The descent is from the Uwald Alm back to the end of the valley, allowing hikers to finish the tour in comfort.
The suggested route via the Stumpf Alm, Kaser Alm and Uwald Alm is ideal for a day in the great outdoors. There you can not only relax, but also enjoy the delicious regional specialties in the alpine huts. Tip: Don't forget to pack your camera to capture the breathtaking views and colorful landscape!
As the huts are open until the end of October, you still have plenty of time to plan your hike and perhaps go on a sunny day. Have fun on your fall hike!
