Bike & Hike to the Hinterbergkofel
From our hotel, a short ride along the tarmac road to the right takes you to the hamlet of Rotmoos. Once you arrive at the car park, first follow the path to the left and then turn right onto path no. 53 in the direction of Acherle Alm and Weißbach Alm.
If you are travelling by e-bike, you can ride to the Weißbach Alm, where you can park your e-bike. From there, our hike starts via the Hallscharte and the Alpini Steig.
From the Weißbachalm, follow the path marked 53 in the direction of Hallscharte. After a while, turn left onto a path with easy climbing tracks. This path leads to an altitude of 2,320 metres. Here, turn left onto the newly created path 53b and continue uphill. The path becomes steeper, first zig-zagging and later leading over wooden steps to a notch on the south ridge at 2,650 metres. There you walk briefly on the rear side and then over the ridge to the broad summit of the Hinterbergkofel at 2,725 metres.
Altitude difference approx. 1264 metres
