Calmness, purification and relaxation
These are the benefits you can expect from our special forest sauna. But do you also know what to look for when you want to take a sauna properly?
The most important thing is that your body feels good during a sauna visit. Ideally, you should choose a time when it is a little quieter so that you can concentrate fully on the process. The place is also important, because beware: the heat rises upwards - accordingly, it gets hotter on the upper levels of the sauna.
For reasons of hygiene, you should always put a towel under your body and feet. Afterwards, the first thing to do is to enjoy the fresh mountain air, the snow or, in summer, the Jaufental stream.
Our forest sauna is a rustic wooden hut in our garden, surrounded by the Jaufental forest and the torrent. Since the idea of sustainability is always in the foreground for us, the sauna was not built from scratch, but an old sawmill was converted into a sauna.
The beautiful façade, which you can still see today, is still original. Inside, we chose the natural stone silver quartzite from the Pfitschtal valley, as this stone cannot be colonised by bacteria.
For us, the sauna concept is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and for strengthening the circulation, so there are daily infusions with Eva, Veronika and Reinhard in the forest sauna at 5 and 6 pm.
