DREAM TEAM, GREEN TEAM
Sustainability and a mindful approach to everything have long been deeply rooted principles for us at the Vitalpina Hotels. So it was no coincidence that, in 2021, the Vitalpina Hotels Group became the first hotel cooperative venture ever to embark on this path. Together, we calculate emissions, improve matters, test, tinker and improve some more.
Waste, resource consumption, purchasing, mobility, construction and staff – each area is considered in isolation so as to achieve even more targeted results.
Sustainability undoubtedly means responsibility: and responsibility is always easier to bear when it is borne on more than one pair of shoulders. This is why many of the Vitalpina Hotels have formed their own green teams, working together to further the “good cause”. There is no fixed format: sometimes a group forms at management level, sometimes individuals from the various work areas combine, or perhaps there is a mixture of both. They all contribute their experiences and help to ensure continual improvement. Dream Team, Green Team!

Together we collect, evaluate, optimise and reduce data so we can take the appropriate measures to realise the goals we have set ourselves.
Berghotel Sexten
Walter, Michi, Max, Martin & Andrea
Walter thinks of and organises everything, while Martin looks after everything that’s green and growing. Max likes to buy green, Andrea puts it on the plate and Michi makes sure all is green in print and online.
Cyprianerhof
Alessandra, Claudia, Alessandros, Matthias, Chiara, Laura & Michael
The Cyprianerhof’s “Hof Action Team” consists of numerous imaginative minds from various sections, from the spa to reception, from the kitchen to service or HR. These minds work together to get matters moving forward, indoors and outdoors, e.g. with the tree festival at the local primary school and the planting of no fewer than 200 trees.
Bad Ratzes
Petra, Stephanie, Aurora, Gianni, Melania & Michael
The Bad Ratzes Green Team consists of people from various sections, who together analyse how things stand, define goals and produce an implementation roadmap, taking care of the necessary monitoring and relevant communication.
Alpinhotel Vajolet
David, Daniela, Rafael & Marion
The Vajolet’s green team is made up of siblings: all four work together on each and every sustainability issue, from the hotel itself to the staff and supplier initiatives.
Tonzhaus
Anja, Thomas, Lydia, Anton, Tanja, Andreas & Patrizia
The various staff members from the different departments at the Tonzhaus come up with their ideas and suggestions for improvement, often seeing numerous issues in a more pragmatic, simpler and realisable way – because they are closest to the action.
Gassenhof
Thomas, Florian, Elena, Stefan, Stefanie & Kurt
The various members of the hotel teams are all ready to listen to a wide range of ideas, ensuring that these are discussed as a team and, ultimately, put into practice.
Hotel Pfösl

Along with the entire Pfösl team, the trio take responsibility for eight specifically defined areas that make up the Pfösl’s sustainability strategy.

Monthly meetings see the heads of every department contribute various ideas that are geared towards a future fit for our grandchildren – all anchored in the GGC, the “Gerstl Generation Code”, a clear promise for the future.
