Spring feelings and snowy mountains

Spring is slowly making its way to the Jaufental valley, and the temperatures are getting warmer. In the valley, the snow is melting, the first flowers are blooming, and the meadows around our nature hotel are turning a vibrant green. However, the mountain peaks are still mostly covered in snow. The contrast between the valley and the mountains at this time of year is striking.

There’s so much to experience in spring: whether it’s a leisurely walk through the forest, accompanied by birdsong and the warmth of the sun, or a winter hike high up in the alpine meadows, surrounded by the snowy landscape – spring reveals itself here in all its beautiful forms.

Skiing is still possible, too! Hard to believe, right? The Racines-Giovo ski area in the Racines valley is located over 2,000 meters above sea level, which guarantees excellent snow conditions even at the end of March.
Skiing in the spring sunshine is a truly special experience. The freshly groomed slopes in the morning, followed by some relaxation on the cozy sun terrace – these are moments of pure happiness.
