The Lutterkopf is a popular excursion destination in the region, which is distinguished above all by its panoramic view. The hike starts at the car park above Gasthaus Mudler, the ideal starting point for the ascent. Route no. 31 initially runs along a forest road, which allows you to familiarise yourself well before the trail turns into a narrower path through the forest.
The path not only offers a break for the eyes through the greenery, but also leads into a quiet and idyllic atmosphere, ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. At the fork to the right, which marks the ascent to the Lutterkopf, the path becomes a little steeper, making the hike more challenging, but also more exciting.
Once at the summit, 2,145 metres above sea level, the effort of the ascent is rewarded with a breathtaking view. From here, the majestic Sexten Dolomites and Alta Pusteria stretch out in all their splendour, an ideal place to take a break, enjoy the fresh mountain air and perhaps take a few photos. The Lutterkopf is suitable for both experienced hikers and families who want to experience the beauty of the mountains.
