Alpine roses, also known as alpine roses, belong to the rhododendron genus within the heather family.
The rusty-leaved alpine rose grows as an evergreen shrub and reaches a height of approx. 30-130 cm. The alpine rose can live up to 100 years.
Where can I find the alpine rose? The alpine rose grows at montane altitudes, from 2000m to approx. 2800m. It thrives in acidic soil and prefers fresh coniferous forests.
The alpine rose blooms in the Casies Valley from around mid-June to mid-July, depending on the weather. In South Tyrol, the alpine rose is a protected plant and it is forbidden to pick alpine roses.
